West Virginia University Institute of Technology is fully responsible for all controls relating to the operations of its athletics programs in a manner that is consistent with NAIA, Mid-South Conference and institutional rules and regulations. Adherence to all rules and regulations of said organizations lies with all parties involved, including WVU Tech coaches, staff, and all student-athletes as well.
WVU Tech’s commitment is to maintain control of its athletics programs through responsible administrators, staff, coaches, and student-athletes; to educate coaches, staff, student-athletes, and other individuals involved with the athletics program in their institutional responsibilities under the rules; to develop operating systems within the athletics department that provide guidance.
Each person who is, or will be, associated with athletics in any way must take responsibility for his or her actions and possess competency of all rules and regulations of the NAIA and Mid-South Conference. In addition, a commitment to adhere to those rules and regulations must be paramount to ensure an enjoyable and enriching collegiate experience.
WVU Tech compliance personnel and coaches will be available for counseling and will always encourage communication related to rules education. This will help WVU Tech remain consistent in all applications related to compliance and eligibility and show the institutional commitment to excellence.
