WVU Tech Soccer 502 Montgomery, WV—

Six WVU Tech men soccer players received all-conference recognition from the MSC via a press release distributed on Monday, November 16.

Mile Dragasic was named all-conference for the second year in a row. The 6’0” senior midfielder from Belgrade, Serbia led the Golden Bears to an overall record 11-7-1 including a 4-3 mark in MSC play. Dragasic, who was named to last years’ All-American Team, has been the anchor of a Tech squad that has shown consistent improvement over the past three seasons and a factor in the MSC title chase.

WVU Tech also landed five players on the MSC honorable mention list. Three mid-fielders; Branimir Radovancovici, Ionut Buse, and Johnny Day, along with defender Luis Parra and forward Orlando Melado. This core unit of Golden Bears has displayed outstanding prowess in the classroom as well, with Buse, Parra, and Radovancovici picking up Academic All-Conference honors as well.

Tech Head Coach Florin Marton praised all of his Golden Bears for their post-season awards.

“I am very fortunate to have a group of young men who display excellent skills athletically, socially, and academically. Hopefully with a few additions, the returners will be able to build upon the successes of this season and continue to bring WVU Tech toward the top of the conference.”
