The WVU Tech Golden Bear Volleyball program had two Student-Athletes recognized by the Mid-South Conference at the end of the year banquet.

Tech’s lone senior, Biranna Saunders (Beckley, WV) was named to the Mid-South Conference’s Academic All-Conference team. Saunders originally joined the team as a libero before injuries plagued the Golden Bears and forced the Beckley native to move to setter mid-season.

Golden Bear junior, Erica Schoolcraft, joined Saunders as the other member of the Tech squad to be named to the Academic All-Conference team. The Clay, WV native’s season was cut short after she suffered an arm injury in the early part of the season.

The Academic All-Conference distinction is reserved for student-athletes with a sophomore or higher class ranking and a 3.25 and above grade point average.
