Golden Bear freshman Stephanie Sang (Huntington, WV)has been selected to the 2010 Boombah/Chatham Orthopedic Associates Smash Hit Spring Break All Tournament team. Sang joins the team as one of the 30 member All Tournament team’s 23 position players.

Sang kept the Golden Bears afloat at the plate in Savannah, recording 7 hits in 16 at bats. Four of those hits were home runs; making Sang responsible for 7 RBI’s in the tournament and scored 5 runs of her own.

Currently, Sang is ranked 11th in the NAIA for home runs (6), 42nd in the NAIA in home runs per game (.286) and 48th in the NAIA in total bases (40). The Huntington native also leads the Golden Bear squad in two categories: batting average (.357) with 20 hits on the year and RBI’s with 14 (.67 per game average).
